My Bachelor's of Music degree is from the University of South Dakota.  I student taught in the Lennox School District.  After graduating from college in May 1998, I taught in Wilmot, South Dakota for 2 years where I taught K-12 Vocal.  In September 2000, I started to teach in the Irene School District where I have been teaching K-12 Vocal.  While at Irene, I have also taught K-6 in Wakonda and K-12 in Irene for 2 years, and K-12 Vocal and Band only in Irene for 3 years.   In 2007-2008, Irene and Wakonda  consolidated and I have been teaching 7-12 Band and Vocal.

I am currently on my 13th year of teaching music.
